Callsign Compliance Notice
Official Announcement – Flight Operations DepartmentDue to multiple recent observations, the Flight Operations Department would like to remind all pilots of the mandatory callsign policy while operating under Hellenic VA.When flying for Hellenic VA, all pilots must use the official company callsign:HEQ### (example: HEQ752)This applies to:- Online flights (IVAO / VATSIM)- ACARS tracking- PIREP submissions
The following are strictly prohibited:- Using real-world airline callsigns (e.g. AAL, RYR, DLH, etc.)
- Using different callsigns between the online network and the PIREP system
- Submitting flights under incorrect, altered, or unofficial callsigns
According to the Flight Operations Manual, section 3.2 – Callsign Usage:The official company callsign (HEQ) must be used at all times when flying with Hellenic VA.
Altered, unofficial, or joke callsigns are not permitted.
Callsign misuse may lead to suspension or removal.Rules: https://hellenicva.gr/rules.phpEffective immediately:- First violation → Warning
- Second violation → Flight / PIREP rejection
- Third violation → Account set to inactive for 1 month
Operating with the correct callsign is essential for:- Realism
- ATC coordination
- Professional representation of the airline
